Comments on the Draft Guidelines by the RCOG for the Practice of Abortion
General Theses guidelines are introduced by statements regarding the incidence of women “needing” abortion which are those who require this treatment to “prevent grave permanent injury to their physical or mental health” Since it is acknowledged this is very seldom to prevent permanent physical injury to the women, the authors can only be referring to permanent injury to a women’s mental health. In effect these guidelines are asking Obstetrician/Gynecologist to form a prognosis of mental health for some time in the future without having any training to do so....

Introduction. I am glad to be able to comment on this draft report partly because there is such murkiness to this very contentious topic but also because it has been a major interest of mine for over 4 decades. Although my main area of expertise is child abuse and neglect, I have written 31 published papers which directly or indirectly deal with this area, 5 books, and many expert opinions for courts and committees. I have taught in 5 medical schools in 3 countries and have been the chairman of psychiatric services and an academic department. I have discovered there are quite a few elephants...
Read MoreStop Smoking – Perfectly Natural Ways
Cigarette smoke is poison. It gradually destroys many body systems and interferes with healing processes. The body knows this. The mind too often ignores the warnings the body would like to tell it. So how to let the mind experience what the body knows. It’s easy. Smoke one then eat one. It is a fool proof, free, money back guaranteed method, which in my patients has never failed. Mention it to your patients who are so desperate to quit, “I would try anything doc” and watch them gag at the thought. Then you are ½ way there. It only takes about 4 cigarettes and they are cured for life....

Philip G. Ney, MD, FRCP (C) 1. Sinuses. Between the exterior and the sinus there are tiny holes which are easily plugged when the mucus becomes dried or dirty. With nowhere to go, the continuous excretion of mucus results in a pressure build up, producing both severe pain and compression of the mucus cells, which interferes with their function of discharging mucus to the exterior. As one should keep cleaning out all kinds of air passages, so people need to wash out their nasal passages. If they snuff in warm water and then forcibly eject it with a snort, they will find a lot of mucus comes...

Philip G. Ney, MD, FRCP (C) God made all creatures with natural healing regenerative processes. Healers of all kinds can do no more than assist in that healing process. For that reason, God-fearing physicians should always give credit where credit is due, and thank the Great Physician for: The natural recuperative powers He has built into all creatures, The unexplainable (miraculous) but timely interventions of healing, The skill and resources available to physicians to assist their great Mentor. When I was a young physician, I took pride (Lord forgive me) in sewing up wounds. I seemed to...

Philip G. Ney, MD, FRCP (C) Medical associations now indicate it is safe to treat menopausal women with hormone replacement therapy. With a flick of the “fact switch”, what was considered dangerous is now approved. Whether that be the case or not, there is a much cheaper, much more pleasurable alternative to prescribed hormones, i.e. intercourse. Male seminal plasma contains female hormones estrogen and estradiol plus male hormones, testosterone and androgen. These are precisely what a menopausal woman needs. Her husband replaces her lack of hormones, but his gift is so well balanced it...
