| Songs Jesus Loaned Me |
|
Isn't it remarkable that God sent a tiny baby into the world to change everything? Surely the preborn baby is the most helpless and vulnerable of all his creation. But God also sent His army, probably armies, because this was an invasion. Jesus had come to defeat and banish the prince of darkness who ruled the world for such a long time. In His death, Jesus defeated Satan. However there is still that legacy of horrible deaths to many millions of little babies. Now it is our time and our duty to be surrogate scapegoats. When you voluntarily stand in place of or stand up for scapegoats, you are a surrogate scapegoat. Jesus became our surrogate scapegoat. Little babies are scapegoated. They have all of those characteristics that make them easy targets for scapegoating. When we stand up for them, we will have all of those death dealing forces directed at ourselves. It is a scary thought apart from the fact that we have the mighty prince of the universe standing up for us. |
