Training Opportunities Announcement - New!!!

The next Hope Alive group counseling courses will be offered on the following dates:

Hope Alive Level I training for Counsellors and Refresher:

At Mt. Joy College (Victoria):

April 11th through April 17th, 2010

June 27th through July 3rd, 2010

and July, 2010

 

Eco-Training onboard a ship:

September 5th through September 18th, 2010

October 3rd through October 16th, 2010

The Eco-Training is a combination of Level I Hope Alive training in intensive group counselling and learning a more precise appreciation for the marine environment. The training will take place aboard the 85' schooner Horizons Unbound sailing less familiar parts of the Straight of Georgia and Puget Sound and learning nautical skills. The schooner is equipped with modern navigational and safety devices, stoves, showers, clothes washer and dryer, refrigeration etc. The marine environment includes eagles, whales, bears, oysters, salmon, majestic mountains and waterfalls, deep fiords, sandy beaches and brilliant sunsets. The group counselling training is designed for those who have been damaged by childhood mistreatment and pregnancy loss, particularly abortion. It is experiential and practical. People who are mature, insightful, empathetic, and who will accept, live and practice by the Mount Joy College Statement of Faith, My Declaration for Life Ethics, and the Commitment to Professional Conduct are encouraged to apply.

Mount Joy College:

The newly established Mt. Joy College now has its own web site: www.mtjoycollege.com.

The College teaches Hope Alive group counseling for those who wish a Christian and scientific program to help those who have been deeply damaged by a combination of child abuse and pregnancy loss, particularly abortion. This course has been taught in 27 countries but the base is at Mt. Joy which is near Victoria BC.
